Introduction:

At Tunza Dada, we believe no girl should miss school because she lacks access to sanitary products. This March, we’re partnering with Obwolo Secondary School in Kisumu to distribute free sanitary towels to over 300 girls, ensuring they stay healthy, confident, and focused on their education.

Why This Matters:

1. Education Equality: 1 in 10 girls in Kenya misses school during their menstrual cycle due to lack of sanitary products (UNICEF).

2. Health & Dignity: Access to sanitary towels prevents infections and empowers girls to manage their periods with confidence.

3. Breaking Stigma: We’re fostering open conversations about menstrual health to reduce shame and misinformation.

Agenda

1. Empowering the girl Child: Providing necessary tools for girls to thrive in all spaces.
2. Mentorship Program: For young girls, teenagers and single mothers.
3. Emotional / Social Support: Mental health checks by professional psychologists.
